How to improve the condition of eyelashes

Revitalash Advanced Eyelash Growth Serum

My eyelashes have never quiet recovered from being frazzled by chemotherapy, although kindly returning they’ve always remained rather stumpy! Of course mascara helps and tested a plethora of types, fat wands, thin wands, fibre wands all plumping, lengthening and filling… Great, but I don’t always want to be caked in eye make-up!

The menopause really doesn’t aid matters either, the loss of oestrogen stunts hair growth and can actually cause the destruction of hair follicles, leading to thinner, wispier hairs and lashes. Effecting both eyelashes and eyebrows.

Therefore super intrigued to note my great friend Nuala had developed eyelashes that seemed to reach her eyebrows (slight exaggeration but not far off!) Major eyelash envy ensued, I wanted (nay needed!) a piece of that eyelash action! Assuming some sort of extensions were to be credited, but no it was a serum…

So, what was her secret of great eyelashes?

Apparently something called “RevitaLash™ Advanced“, the blurb states…. “A proprietary blend of scientifically advanced technology and natural botanicals join in concert to protect against breakage and brittleness and improve flexibility, moisture, and shine for more dramatic-looking eyelashes” A bit long-winded, but sounds poetic!

It all began because a husband wanted to give his wife a very special gift…
RevitaLash™ was developed by Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff as a special gift for his wife, Gayle, while she was recovering from breast cancer. Intensive chemotherapy treatments had damaged Gayle’s once-beautiful eyelashes, leaving them sparse, breakable and fragile.

After extensive research with a team of talented cosmetic chemists, Dr. Brinkenhoff formulated an eyelash conditioner that, after just a few weeks, gave a renewed look of vitality to Gayle’s eyelashes. Gayle and Michael are committed to donating a portion of the proceeds from RevitaLash™ sales to benefit non-profit breast cancer research and education initiatives…. What a wonderful back story and one that resonates with me.

  • Shows results even applied once a day.
  • Results in three to ten weeks.
  • Your own natural eyelashes will look longer, thicker, and fuller.
  • Can be used no matter how brittle, short, fragile, thin, or sparse your eye lashes are.

So, let take a look how my stumpy lashes faired….

How to improve the condition of eyelashesTesting for 3mths, initially applying daily for the first 4 weeks and then moving to every other. I found every day application resulted in my lids feeling a little tender. Maybe chemo damaged the roots in some way and therefore more sensitive. Anyway, it took about 4weeks before noting any difference, sticking with it at the advice of my friend (with the mighty long lashes) I remained patient and Ta Dah…. They grew!! As you can see from the below photos, there’s a definite lengthening, fuller appearance. Also feel softer and in great condition. I stopped applying to the bottom set of lashes as they were looking a little too long! I’m only applying a few times a weeks

I’ve also noticed that my eyebrows need plucking more regularly too, so I’m guessing the hair follicles in the general eye area receive the benefit. I’ve not had an issue with thinning eyebrows but if you are there is an eyebrow options too called RevitaBrow Advanced.

Conclusion: After 3mths my eyelashes are fuller, longer and in fabulous condition. The only drawback is the price, it’s retails at £69 for a 3ml vial, so not cheap but that will last quite a while and for me it was definitely worth the investment.

I purchased mine from: Aurora Skin Clinic in Northampton – If you’re local call in and they’ll talk you through the product or give them a call to discuss. Nuala with the long lashes works there, so you can check hers out first hand!
