Celebrity Definition Brows Before & After

I bit the bullet and decided to get Celebrity Definition Brows!  Not that I want to be a celebrity or anything, that’s just the name!  This is a big thing for me, because I’ve only ever had my eyebrows tinted once before and the finished look was rather extreme for me, as I’d been used to fair brows for 40+ years and the salon used a black tint on them!

However, after having the amazing eyelash lift and tint with Josie and Bellisima Rose Beauty (CLICK HERE for full review), and discussing her recent training course for Celebrity Definition Brows, I decided I would give the old brows another chance.

Strangely, although when I look in the mirror they look a little odd (as in, not my usual brows, not odd in shape), when I look at the pictures I’ve taken, they look fab!  I think it just takes a little bit of time to get used to being able to see them.

What are Celebrity Definition Brows?

You are likely to have heard of HD Brows, Celebrity Definition Brows, are a similar treatment.  A high-precision procedure that transforms your eyebrows into their perfect shape and enhances your facial features.

The treatment consists of a number of steps, which I’ve listed below. This isn’t just shaping and tidying – celebrity definition brows is eyebrow artistry!  Seriously you couldn’t do this yourself, plus you get the huge benefit of having a trained professional advise you on what you need to do to get them just right.

For instance, Josie showed me, after the treatment, the areas I need to GROW my eyebrows, so I can get an even better shape. Interestingly all the areas she showed me, bar one, was where I normally tweezer them – I should never be allowed control of a pair of tweezers!

What are the Steps?

  1. Assess your face shape, colouring and natural brows to determine the best result for you.
Some clients can achieve the perfect celebrity definition brows on the first visit, whilst others may need a few treatments and be advised to grow in more eyebrow hairs to get the best results (which is exactly what Josie did with me). Celebrity definition brows can be thick or thin, dark or lighter, angular or soft – everyone starts from a different point, so all get a slightly different result- the aim is to give you the perfect shape for YOU.
  2. Tinting of all brow hairs
Including some of the ‘fluffy’ ones around the brows so your beauty consultant has the maximum to work with to get the best shape for you. The tint is mixed according to your present colouring and desired result.
  3. Waxing above and below the brows
Using the celebrity definition brows guidelines to achieve the brow shape to best suit you.
  4. Threading
Of the ‘fluffy’ hairs surrounding the brows to blend in to the hairline, if required.
  5. Tweezing
    To fine tune your shape.
  6. Trimming
Of any long hairs so that all of your brow hairs lie perfectly in their newly defined shape, again only if required.
  7. Aftercare
Some clients will need a small amount of eyebrow pencil or powder to fill in any gaps while regrowth of any previously over plucked areas is achieved. Clear gel can be used to set your beautiful new brows into place.

You can see from the pictures below, that firstly I have very light natural eyebrows and why Josie has advised I need to grow my brows in certain areas, I have definite thinner areas.  I loved that Josie pointed out exactly where I need to grow them and why.  Looking at the photo’s I’ve taken, I can see how they will improve if I keep away from the tweezers and let her sort them out for me!

The areas she highlighted were
1. the outer edges, one brow is a better and thicker shape than the other (over plucking on my part)
2. the inner edge, by my nose – you can see they are uneven in thickness (again over plucking)
3. there are a couple of small patches which are thinner than they should be (misguided plucking!)

Advice and care

To get the best results from your celebrity definition brows treatment it’s best to let your brows grow in for around 4 weeks prior to your first treatment so there is plenty to work with. I’d done this but I still have areas which need to thicken, hopefully they will!  If not I will be using the Eyelash/Eyebrow Thickener, which Lucy wrote about a few weeks ago, click on the bold text if you need to grow/thicken your eyelashes or eyebrows.

If your eyebrows are naturally thin and difficult to regrow you can still be given a highly defined look for your brows but they can’t magically regrow eyebrow hair.

Before you have your first celebrity definition brows treatment, you will need to have a patch test, which only takes a minute for your beauticaan to apply a tiny bit of the tint to your skin (either behind your ear or in the crook of your elbow).  This is to make sure you aren’t allergic to the tint used for the treatment. This must be done at least 24 hours before your treatment.

To maintain your fabulous new brows you’ll need to repeat the brow treatment approximately every 4-6 weeks,f once your hairs have regrown and your colour has faded.

What Do I Think…

Once again I’m converted!  I’ve already booked in for my next celebrity definition brows session and will be having another Eyelash Lift & Tint (click the bold text to learn more) at the same time, which I’ve found to be one of the best ever beauty treatments I’ve ever had!  Why?  Because my lashes look AMAZING and they save me SOOO much time because I no longer need to put layers of mascara on, one coat and I’m done.

Thank the Lord for Josie from Bellisima Rose Beauty, click on the name if you’re interested in finding out more or want to book an appointment (Josie is based near High Wycombe).  I love it when someone so much younger than me. teaches me something new!
